Mentoring relationship is a collaborative effort between a mentor and a mentee who intends to share a passion for leadership development and presents the importance of individual initiative to career success. MBSC Alumni Mentorship Program underlines the importance of professional networking as a means for personal and career development. The purpose of this program is to provide e a venue for connecting young MBSC leaders to professional experienced ones through a partnership to supports a personal and professional development strategy.

A mentor is an experienced alumnus/alumna who provides information, guidance and encouragement to a less experienced alumnus/alumna. An effective mentor leads and guides by example through his/her expertise and understands that his/her role is to be dependable, engaged and tuned into the needs of the mentee. In other words, mentors serve as reliable and trusted advisors, providing different perspectives on personal and work issues in terms of both problem identification and problem solving.
The aims, objectives and scope of the Alumni Mentorship

Provide ongoing support for alumni seeking regular and ongoing professional contact
Alumni who have the willingness, time and experience to mentor will apply through an application indicating experience, industry, how they will benefit the mentee. After the applications closes. Mentors will be listed with a brief bio and sent to alumni with a link for a mentee to apply.
Mentees will choose more than one mentor (in case one mentor is unavailable) and apply for mentorship (mentors will have the option to customize their internal mentorship application for mentees).
Mentors will select a mentee(s) based on their available time and disciplines. The option of an intro call to help the mentors and mentees choose the right match is recommended.
Alumni council will regularly monitor and evaluate the program based on the established guidelines.
Mentor recognition is a huge component of the program's success. Our mentors deliver the relationships and support that enhance their mentees experience and strengthen their outcomes. Taking the time, regularly and consistently, to thank them for their efforts is critical to keeping them engaged and interested in continuing to serve. To allow the participants to achieve their desired goals and objectives, MBSC Alumni Mentorship Program will run form April 2021 until January 2022 for each mentoring relationship
Measuring the effectiveness of MBSC Alumni Mentorship Program is imperative for ensuring success of the program and the acceptance by alumni. An evaluation based on the aims and objectives of the program will be conducted 2-3 months of launching to mitigate problems at an early stage, halfway through a program, and at the end of the year. Methods of collecting the information will include seeking feedback through an evaluation form and by interviewing both parties. After collection, a report will be compiled including alumni satisfaction rates and recommendations for changes.
Alumni Council is identified as the primary point of contact for the mentor and/or mentee to approach when a conflict happens and to take responsibility for managing an approach to solve the issues. Please contact us through alumnicouncil@mbsc.edu.sa
